God’s Directions for the Church

Ephesians 4:1-16

“When all else fails; follow directions!”

God’s Word says that our job as pastors is to “prepare you” or “equip you”.

“The apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors/teachers are to prepare God's people for works of service”, so that God’s people:

1.                  Do works of service. 

2.                  Build each other up.

3.                  Are united in the faith. 

4.                  Know the Son of God.

5.                  Become mature/stable. 

6.                  Speak the truth in love.   

The end result of all of this will be.  “From Him (Christ) the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."
