A league where every child plays, every child learns, and every child is a winner.

Upward promotes character and self-esteem in every child by:

1. Providing an evaluation system that promotes equal teams and opportunities
2. Establishing a one-hour practice and game each week
3. Implementing a substitution system for each team, allowing every child equal playing time
4. Creating the opportunity for every child to learn the skills of the game

Early Registration:

September 22 through October 31, 2008 - $80 per player; after October 31, the cost is $90.

Registration Deadline:  November 7, 2008

EVALUATIONS:

Everyone MUST attend one basketball evaluation. They will take place at Portland First Church of the Nazarene as follows:

Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade Boys/Girls - Monday, November 3, between 6:00pm and 8:00pm or Tuesday, November 4, between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.

3rd and 4th Grade Boys/Girls - Thursday, November 6, between 6:00pm and 8:00pm

5th and 6th Grade Boys/Girls - Friday, November 7, between 6:00pm and 8:00pm

Note: Evaluations (uniform sizing, parent meeting, and skill development) take approximately 45 minutes total. You may arrive anytime between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. Please enter on Level 2.

*Each team will have one practice per week and one game on Saturdays.
